Elk grad, peace essay winner studies PTSD at science center Star News In 2007, Alcorn won the local level of competition of the National Peace Essay Contest sponsored by the United States Institute of Peace (MexLucky). Alcorn graduated from the University of Minnesota in August of 2012 with a double major in Spanish and biology.
